Why Beeswax?

Beeswax candles are the gold standard of all waxes as they burn cleanly, brightly, and produce a delicate natural honey scent. This candle was made using a traditional technique of dipping a pair joined by a single wick into hot wax. Layer by layer the candles grow leaving each one with it’s own variations and character.

Burn with care

Burn your candle with care and attention.

Before lighting, trim the wick to a little under 1 cm and make sure it’s secure in a fireproof holder or dish, melting a little wax at the base if needed.

A candle placed in a draft will flicker rapidly creating wax drips and burning unevenly.

Children are very drawn to candles, they won’t be able to keep their hands off, please supervise very carefully.

Create a simple altar

An altar in its simplest form is a collection of meaningful or symbolic treasures arranged with care in a dedicated space. This becomes a sacred space that helps you shift your mindset from the mundane to the magical.

Step 1. Start with a table, shelf or cloth to define the space. Set your candle as a centrepiece and make sure there is plenty of space around it (and above it) to safely burn for a long duration.

Step 2. Nature provides us with all sorts of wonderful items that inspire beautiful altars. What are you drawn to? Do you like to collect artefacts, fallen tree bark, driftwood, leaves, shells, rocks, sea glass, dried flowers?

Altars can have any focus you like, your altar could simply be a dedication to rest and release.

Step 3. When you come to this space slow down and take a few deep breaths to clear your mind. Light your candle with care and appreciation.
